Promoting or protecting human rights.

The Australian Family Network is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that upholds Australian citizens' fundamental human rights. Whether home or abroad, we will call upon the Australian government to take action should any of our citizen's rights be neglected or breached.

We believe that each Australian deserves to understand their rights. The Australian Family network recognises the role of the Australian government in upholding its peoples' rights. That's why we will provide Australians the necessary resources and information to know their rights as entrenched in the constitution.

It is our duty to educate Australian's on their rights, as well as to publicise breaches of Australians’ rights. Australian Family Network will dedicate its efforts to protecting human rights and contribute in ending human rights abuses as the need arises. As an organization we intend to maintain extensive website documenting violations and calling for remedial action, both at a governmental and grass root level.

“Australia is one of the most successful multicultural societies in the world”

Owing to the cultural diversity present in the Australian society, the Australian Family Network believes every individual irrespective of their ethnic affiliation, race and culture deserves to be respected. No individual merits discrimination based on their race, culture or ethnic group.

The Australian Family Network will actively counter racism; promote tolerance and work hard to achieve a widespread understanding of the ill effects of discrimination amongst all sectors of the Australian society to promote mutual respect and tolerance.

Public backing and disapproval of abuses is important to our success, as a human rights organization we are most effective when our calls for reform are backed by strong public advocacy.

According to the Australian Human Rights Commission 1 in 4 Australians were born overseas, 1 in 2 have an overseas born parent, Almost 20% Australians speak a language other than English at home and 1 in 5 Australians have experienced race-hate talk.

Majority of Australians support action to tackle racism. The vast majority of Australians (84 per cent) believe that multiculturalism has been good for Australia.

Equality, loyalty and friendship form the core of our Australian society something we commonly refer to as mateship. Owing to the cultural diversity present in the Australian society, the Australian Family Network believes every individual irrespective of their ethnic affiliation, race and culture deserves to be respected. No individual merits discrimination based on their race, culture or ethnic group.

The Australian Family Network will actively counter racism, promote tolerance and work hard to achieve a widespread understanding of the ill-effects of discrimination amongst all sectors of the Australian community to promote mutual respect and tolerance between different groups of people with differences based on race, culture or ethnic affiliation.

Our board of Australian Family Network is a testament of our commitment to promote reconciliation, mutual respect and tolerance between groups of individuals in Australia. The AFN board comprises of individuals of different faiths (Jewish, Christian and Muslim) as a cultural/heritage backgrounds they come from England, Ireland, Lebanon and other members were born to overseas parents that were migrants themselves.

Interfaith dialogues, community awareness, educating people about various cultural norms are some of the ways we intend to use in order to tackle issues around racism or disharmony. Education and dialogue are the keys that we will use to change the mindsets to become more integrated, form a good moral base, be respectful of differences and be more tolerant towards each other.

No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.
